Following my passion, I earned a Diploma in Performing Arts in Australia, which led to my training as a pilates instructor in 2018. After a 5-year stint in Australia, we returned home to put our business plan into action, and in 2021, we proudly opened our beautiful studio.
I'm passionate about merging my love for movement with enhancing our clients' lives. The community at Hustle & Flow is the heart of my work, witnessing clients transform mentally, physically, and emotionally is incredibly fulfilling. Having clients of all ages, from 14 to 80, is truly amazing!
When I'm not at the studio, you'll find me enjoying time with our lovely dog Luna, taking beach strolls, spending quality moments with family and friends, unwinding, or experimenting in the kitchen. When I'm in Queenstown, I dive into mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, and exploring delicious dining spots.

Originally from Canterbury, I made Ōakura my home after 8 years in Wellington. I holds a senior leadership role in Human Resources and have made Pilates a regular part of my life since 2006.
I cherish our H&F community's unwavering support and the camaraderie during our weekly classes. It's a privilege to have people choose to spend their time with us. Tailoring programs for our clients and witnessing their growth is truly fulfilling – that's my driving force.
Weekends are busy landscaping our Ōakura property, along with time for yoga, trail running, hiking, reading, cooking, entertaining friends, beach time, and keeping active with the kids.

I dedicated over two decades to being a physiotherapist, starting in sports and rehabilitation, and later transitioning to occupational physiotherapy. Now, I've shifted my focus to pottery and Pilates!
Hailing from the Waikato, I met my husband, John, 30 years ago at Otago. After a decade in London, we returned with our two kids to relish all the beauty the Taranaki province has to offer.
With a good amount of past Pilates experience, I have to say Lauren's classes really hit the mark. They provide a solid workout and build incredible strength. My husband, John, and our daughter, Darcy, both enjoy coming to the studio. Working at Hustle and Flow allows me to meet new people in Oakura and assist them in achieving their goals, which I absolutely love. The Taranaki community is fantastic – everyone is down-to-earth and friendly. The classes have an awesome vibe.
In my downtime, I love to spend time with my family (although they've outpaced me in surfing!), creating pottery in the studio, tending to the garden, catching up with friends, taking cold water plunges, meditating, going tramping, skiing, and cheering on kids in sports!

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and Classical Studies, along with a Postgraduate qualification in Teaching (Secondary & Early Childhood). I’m also certified in Reform Dynamic Reformer Pilates.
My love for reformer pilates started back in 2019, when it became a form of therapy during a chaotic time in my life. It was the first time I felt my overactive mind truly quiet down. In 2022, I took the leap and became an instructor. While life got busy and teaching took a back seat for a while, my passion for pilates never faded. After becoming a client at Hustle & Flow, I’m ready to step back into instructing. Outside of the studio, I’m a secondary school teacher.
What I love most about Hustle & Flow is that it’s not just a studio, it’s a feeling. It sounds a little cheesy, but it’s true. The people are incredible, and the space itself is beautiful.
In my downtime, you’ll probably find me with a good book in a sunny spot, out for a stroll, hanging with family and friends, or planning my next adventure.

Born and raised in Dunedin, I met my husband, Teihorangi, during our university years. After living in Otago, Wellington, Taranaki, and even New York, we’ve now settled in beautiful Ōakura, where we’re raising our two wonderful girls.
With a degree from the School of Physical Education, I spent five rewarding years teaching health, physical education, and outdoor education. My love for multisport and adventure racing has always kept me active, but it was during pregnancy that I turned to Pilates, seeking a lower-impact way to stay fit. I quickly fell in love with the practice and haven’t looked back since!
At Hustle & Flow, I’m excited to be part of a close-knit community where I can share my passion for Pilates with others. Helping people connect with their bodies, build strength, and improve their overall well-being is incredibly rewarding for me.
When I’m not at the studio, I’m chasing after my girls, training for the Coast to Coast, catching up with friends, and enjoying time outdoors.

This depends on what injury you have and stage of rehabilitation. We want you to seek medical advice and clearance before exercising with us. We want you to be able to make the most out of each session, so your trainer will need to be well-aware of any injuries prior to your booking so they can cater exercises appropriately.

If you’re new to pilates, Hustle & Flow is a great place to start. We have introduction classes available to all beginners or those who have previously done reformer pilates but may need a refresh! These classes are all about learning the fundamentals of Reformer Pilates, from how to use the machine, to basic exercises and getting you comfortable. After just one class you’ll be ready to tackle all of the other classes we have available. And if you’re still getting the hang of things the team at Hustle & Flow will be happy to see your face again in the Introduction class and help get you up to speed!
Please note; if you have purchased the introductory offer, it is not required to attend four intro classes. Only one is needed and then you can book into any other class available on the schedule.
